Bit Bank- Neue Schule Collection

How is Neue Schule Different?
Heather Hyde, the creator of Neue Schule, has specialised in bitting and the associated problems for many years, running the largest bit bank worldwide.  The Neue Schule Collection is an exciting and innovative range of bits which are ergonomically designed and produced using state of the art manufacturing facilities and techniques.  The Collection offers a range of mouthpieces in a variety of thicknesses and is suitable for every discipline at all levels.

Patented and unique to Neue Schule is the Salox Gold metal from which all the mouthpieces are made.  It is a distinctively warmer, sweeter metal which heats up within seconds of being put in the horse's mouth, thus enabling the horse to focus on the action of the bit rather than the presence of it- promoting clearer, more refined communication of the rein aids.

We can advise you on the best bit to suit you, and all the Neue Schule bits are available on a 30 day trial!

More information on Salox Gold:

The NS bit- showing evenness of contact and the sympathetic nature of the shape to the horse's mouth confirmation.

- Salox is a high copper alloy (completely free of Nickel which has been known to cause allergies), which is highly resistant to tarnishing, but in the horse's mouth produces a sweet taste which is pleasant for your horse.
- Salox warms up extremely fast to reach the horse's blood temperature, in fact is is the fastest mouthpiece to warm up of all it's competitors.  (Stainless steel is the slowest type of bit to warm up.)
- The properties required of a bit are that it is strong (unbreakable in normal use), warm to touch and soft.  If the mouthpiece is too soft (as in pure copper) and the rings too hard, there will be considerable wear and tear on the joins.  Salox gold is of intermediate hardness, promoting excellent durability.
