Harpley Equestrian Magnetic Range- Information

 

   

 Harpley Equestrian rare earth magnets are made from Baron, Ferite and the rare earth metal Neodymium.  This alloy is formulated to hold it's full strength for up to 15 years.

 The high strength Neodymium magnets have rating equivalent to  2,000 gauss.  This high strength means that the therapeutic magnetic field will penetrate up to 6"/15cm deep within the area being treated.  Many other magnetic products on the market today only penetrate approximately 3mm deep.

All our fabrics used are designed for comfort and to assist with maintaining an even body temperature while allowing air to circulate to regulate heat which can be produced when using magnetic therapy.

Do's and Don'ts of using Magnetic Therapy:

1.  Start using the products for a short periods of time, say 30 minutes, and gradually build up exposure to a maximum of 12 hours, with 12 hours rest without use.  Good results can be seen from very short periods of treatment- it is not neccessary to use for extended periods of time.

2.  Every horse is an individual- please monitor your horse when starting treatment for the first time. Some horses will show increased warming in the area being treated, this is normal.

3. Only use magnetic products in a confined area, such as a stable, when tied up or in a small yard.  As Magnetic product increase the circulation, turnout in a paddock- or exercising- when using magnetic products is dangerous.  Any injury that may occur can be made worse by the increased circulation.

4. Do not use magnetic therapy on open wounds or heavy bruising.

5. Do not use on pregnant mares.

6.  Do not over use magnetic therapy.  Leaving the product on 24/7 negate an benefit you may gain from their use.  The body needs time off from treatment to reap the full benefits.  12 hours on with a 12 hour rest is the maximum recommended time.
