Bella Equestrian is proud to introduce the first riders in to win a Bella Equestrian Sponsorship for 2009.  This year there are two riders- we hope in the future to expand our team and increase our sponsorship package.  You can follow their journeys on this page, with regular updates and photos from the riders themselves.

Bella Equestrian is proud to offer a sponsorship program for passionate Australia up and coming riders who are committed to further their training and knowledge as a rider while holding their horse's wellbeing as the top priority.  In 2009 we launched the program with 2 riders, and in 2010 we are looking to expand... stay tuned.

Shona Nelson

Shona Nelson and her horse Izar.

Izar is a 16.2hh, 7year old bay gelding by the stallion Lutz ad out of Shona's FEI dressage mare Perth Mint.  He is home bred and broken and currently in his 3rd year of competition.  They are based in the Swan Valley, WA. 

Shona and Izar took the big step up to FEI dressage in the 2009 season, with great success!

Becky Zamel and her horse Kirby Park Irish Jeorge.

 Becky is a 22 year old rider based in SA.  She is about to enter her 4th year of Paramedics Studies.  Her horse, Jeorge is a 15.3hh 8 year old by Kirby Park Irish Jordan, bother to Megan Jones' Kirby Park Irish Jester who Megan took to Beijing in 2008.

 Becky and Jeorge train regularly with Megan Jones and are currently competing at PreNovice level, with the aim to start at Novice for the 2009 season.  Becky has set herself the goals of competing at both Melbourne and Sydney International events in the *star class, then to finish the year at Adelaide riding in the **star.

 With support and encouragement from her parents, her coach and her talented horse Jeorge, Becky is sure to be a star for the future.  She was selected for the EFA National Talent Squad in 2009.
